Xbox Live is still not working properly, hours after a major outage.

The company addressed a major outage overnight that stopped people entirely from signing in. But those issues are still ongoing, according to the website Down Detector.

It reported a major uptick in issues over the morning, as people struggled to get back online.

"Running into error code: 0x800488FC when attempting to sign into your Xbox One console?" the Xbox support account tweeted in the middle of the major outage. "No sweat, our teams are on it. We'll update here when we have more information to provide!"

It tweeted later to say that it was still investigating the sign-in errors, and soon after that said the problem had been fixed.

But the issues appear to be ongoing, according to the site Down Detector. While they have not yet hit the peak of the problems overnight, many people are still reporting that they are unable to sign back in.

Xbox's status pages shows no issues with any parts of the service.
