"Entrusting a conference like COP29 to Azerbaijan gives reason to say that the position of your country in the international world is rising more and more," Chairman of the Board of Foreign Policy Research Institute of Kazakhstan Bolat Nurgaliyev told journalists, APA reports.
He noted that the settlement of the Garabagh issue and the progress of the peacemaking process have further increased the reputation of Azerbaijan: "I was very impressed by the strategic view exhibited by Ilham Aliyev about Azerbaijan's position on international issues at this meeting. I was especially impressed by the views on the UN Climate Change Conference. Especially after the peacemaking process, Azerbaijan's reputation has further increased. The recent events shows precisely this. This is a source of pride for Azerbaijan's friends, including Kazakhstan. We hope that Azerbaijan will make further progress on the path of climate change. The issue of climate change and environmental protection comes to the forefront. Entrusting a conference like COP29 to Azerbaijan gives reason to say that the position of your country in the international world is rising more and more.
