Lethal Anse Royale thrash Baie Lazare 4-1

At Stad Popiler on Wednesday evening, Anse Royale seized the opportunity provided by Bel Ombre’s defeat on Tuesday as they mauled Baie Lazare 4-1 to close the gap on the leaders.

Anse Royale’s highest possible points total after a formidable season is 46, which would guarantee them second place minimum.

With Bel Ombre’s next two fixtures against Baie Lazare and Au Cap, the chance of League One silverware loomed, but Anse Royale coincidentally shared the same opponents as the ones they challenged.

So, on Wednesday night they had two objectives in mind, one being the vital three points, while the second was a message sent and buried in the minds of Bel Ombre.

The scene set itself immediately as Baie Lazare forced their way through a passionate Anse Royale who continuously threatened on the counter with pace.
